Dinner will be catered by Famous Bistro follwed by dancing Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Parrish Hall. The meet and greet will start at 6:30, dinner will be served between 7:15 and 7:30 and the dancing will start at 8:00 and end at midnight. The cost for the event, if paid before June 15, 2009 will be $55.00 per person or $99.00 per couple. After June 15, 2009 the cost will be $65.00 per person or $120.00 per couple. The cost at the door will be $75.00 per person.
An overwelming number of classmates requested there be a place for people to just set and talk. Lourdes has a small room that we can use for that purpose. It is away from the dancing and music and is just perfect to set and catch up with classmates. We hope to see you there!
The Friday night Hospitality Suite will be held at the Home Builders Association building at 3515 Wathans Crossing (just off Carter Road) from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm. Please stop by, say hello to old friends and pick up reunion packages. We will serve beverages and light hor d'oeuvres.
We are hoping to have a tour of the School sometime on Saturday morning. This can't be coordinated until later in the summer when the administrative staff returns to school for the fall semester. I will keep you posted on this event.
We have blocked 25 hotel rooms at the Fairfield Inn, 800 Salem Drive, Owensboro (270-688-8078) and 25 rooms at the Hampton Inn, 615 Salem Drive, Owensboro (270-926-2006). Room rates at the Fairfield are $99.00 plus tax and the Hampton is $109.00 plus tax. You must mention that you are with the Daviess County High School Class of 1969 in order to get the discounted rate. The rooms will be released from the block at both hotels on September 1, 2009. After that date room rates will go up and rooms will be subject to availability
