Rodney W. Carman, 47

Rodney Wayne Carman of Indianapolis died Sunday, February 1, 2004.  He was 47.

Born in Boyle County on July 18, 1956, he was a son of Kenneth and Norine Boils Carman of Indianapolis.

He was a cabinet maker.

Besides his parents, survivors include two daughters, Mary Hickle of Columbus, Indiana and Angeline Carman of Indianapolis; a son, Jonathan Taylor of Scottsville; two brothers, Randy Carman and Kenneth Carman, Jr., both of Indianapolis; and four grand children.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Carman.

Funeral services will be February 4, 2004 at 2:00 pm at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Burl Ashley officiating.  Burial will be in Middleburg Cemetery.

Elizabeth Cochran, 83

Sara Elizabeth Cochran, KY 49, Liberty, died Friday, January 30, 2004 at the Casey County Hospital.  She was 83.

Born in Casey County on May 13, 1920, she was a daughter of the late John Lee Atwood and Nettie Lee Atwood.

She was a homemaker and member of Atwood Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Burl Cochran; two sons, Burl Cochran Jr., and Boyd Cochran, both of Liberty; four daughters, Eva Howard of McKinney, Joyce Lynn of Bradfordsville, Judy Cox of Hustonville and Nettie Lynn of Liberty; a brother, Lee Atwood of Elk Grove, California; three sisters, Loucille Deering of Lebanon, Betty Welch of St. George, Georgia and Eva Rodgers of Louisville; 24  grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Juanita Riddle, two brothers, Gene and Billy Ray Atwood and two sisters, Irene Courtwright and Marie Roberts.

Funeral services are February 1, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Ed Parton and Bro. Joe Welch officiating.  Burial will be in Tapscott Cemetery.

Cecil Tinsley, 93

Cecil Tinsley of Middleburg died Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.  He was 93.

Born in Middleburg on April 14, 1910, he was a son of the late William Tinsley and Jenny Smith Tinsley.

He was a former railroad employee and farmer.  He was a member of Mt. Salem Baptist Church and an honorary member of the Concerned Bikers of Kentucky.

Survivors include four daughters, Betty Rader of Cincinnati, Barbara (and L.C.) Johnson of Middleburg, Bonnie (and James) Caldwell of Litteton, Illinois and Brenda Tinsley of Liberty; three sons, Bobby Tinsley and Buddy (and Lorrine) Tinsley, both of Liberty and Burl (and Becky) Tinsley of Martinsville, Indiana; 28 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a son, Benny Tinsley; a daughter, Beck Martin; two brothers W.C. and Clarence Tinsley; four sisters, Pearl Lucan, Montie Estes, Myrtle McAninch and Lealer Sowers.

Funeral services are January 31, 2004 at Bartle  Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. C.B. Carman officiating.  Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jamie and Mike Tinsley, Jimmy Snow, Frank Sheene, Randy Ledford and Richard Rousey.

Honorary pallbearers are Vernie Johnson, Tony Hunt and Keith Williams.

Ronald Snow, 77

Ronald Snow of Kings Mountain died Saturday, January 31, 2004 at Ft. Logan Hospital.  He was 77.

Born in Casey County on October 12, 1926, he was a son of the late Clay Snow and Elizabeth Perkins Snow.

He was retired from Phillips Lighting and a US Army veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Drew of Danville; at sister, Roma Sims of Kings Mountain; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Beryl Snow; a sister, Ruby Estes; three brothers, Roy, Roe Wayne and Raymond Snow.

Funeral services will be Thursday, February 5, 2004 at 11:00 am at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home in Waynesburg with Bro. Johnny Adamson officiating.  Burial will be in K.P. Hall Cemetery with military honors by Caswell Saufley Post 18.

Visitation is from 6 to 9 pm February 4, 2004.

Dr. Ivol G. Parker, 83

Dr. Ivol Godby Parker of Louisville died Saturday, January 24, 2004 at Norton Audubon Hospital. She was 83.

Borne in Bethelridge, she was a dsughter to the late Dewitt Godby and Rosa Elliott Godby.

She was a retired professor at Eastern Kentucky University and a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church.  She had also taught at the University of Louisville and Bellarmine College.  She was a widow of Dr. Geroge F. Parker.

Survivors include two sons, Owen D. Parker of Louisville and Nathan F. Parker of Chicago, Illinois; four brothers Fogle, Ray, Donald and Edsel Godby; four sisters, Geraldine Carman of Middleburg, Madeline Jones Shirley Vaught and Barbara Cox; and three grandchildren.

Memorial services will be January 28, 2004 at John Knox Presbyterian Church with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery.

Highland Family-Owned Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of Louisville or the University of Louisville Humanities Department.

Elizabeth B. Sullivan, 86

Elizabeth Byrd Sullivan of Campbellsville died Sunday, February 1, 2004 in Shelbyville.  She was 86

Born in Green County on December 4, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Arch L. Paxton and Mattie Blakeman Paxton.

She was a member of Palestine Baptist Church and the widow of Isaac W. "Ike" Sullivan.

Survirors include three sons, David (and Vivian) Sullivan of Mt. Washington, Keith (and Tamara) Sullivan of Liberty, and Randall (and Cheryl) of Campbellsville; two daughters, Connie (and Jack) Campbell of Cincinnati, and Ruth Ann (and Max) Heath of Shelbyville; a  brother, Norman Wayne Paxton of Greensburg; a sister, Ada May Wilcoxson of Greensburg; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Coleman and Leon Paxton.

Funeral services will be February 4, 2004 at 11:00 am at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville with the Rev. Jessie Baxter and Rev. Mark Harrison officiating.

Burial will be in Palestine Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Eric and Shannon Campbell, Jason Heath, James, Josh, Russell and Will Sullivan.

Eugene Wyatt, 72

Eugene Wyatt of Burnham, Illinois died Monday, January 26 2004.  He was 72.

Born in Casey County on January 19, 1032,. he was a son of the late Wayne Wyatt and Lena Mills Wyatt.

He was a retired factory worker.

Survivors include his wife Grace Anderson Wyatt; a son, Troy Wyatt of Illinois; a daughter, JoAnn (and Bill) Strauch o Lansing, Illinois; three brothers, Glen Wyatt of Liberty, Jay Wyatt of DeBary, Florida and Burl Wyatt of Dunnville; three sisters, Betty Burton of Hamilton, Ohio, Ines Goforth of West Chester, Ohio and Anna Huff of Campbellsville; and a granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Ewell (Steve) Wyatt; three sisters, Barbara Johnson, Lavonia Helm and Loretta Emmerson.

Funeral services are January 31, 2004 at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan, Indiana.  Burial will be in Craven Cemetery.

Jesse Terrell Jr., 76

Jesse Terrell, Jr. of Danville died Monday, February 2, 2004 at Ephriam McDowell Regional Medical Center.  He was 76.

Born in Casey County on June 3, 1927,  he was a son of the late Jesse James Terrell and Martha Ellen Maxey Terrell.

He was a tile and carpet installer and attended Maxey Valley Church of God and Gethsemane Baptist Church.  He was a Kentucky Colonel.

Survivors include his wife, Lillie Catherine Morgeson Terrell; a son, Ronnie Terrell of Dunnville, a stepdaughter Margaret Hundley of Perryville; a sister, Dorothy Mullins of Danville; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren,  two stepgrandsons and three stepgreat-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday, February 5, at 10:30 am at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home in Moreland with the Rev. Michael Osborne officiating.  Burial will in Hustonville Cemetery.

Imelda Wethington, 94

Imelda Wethington of Campbellsville died Tuesday, January 27, 2004. She was 94.

Born in Casey County on January 15, 1910, she was a daughter of the late James Monroe Wethington and Rosanna Catherine Wethington.

She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and the widow of Edgar Maurice Wethington.

Survivors include four daughters, Frances (and Harold) Waymon, Vera Ann Campbell, Cathy Tapscott (and Billy Gumm) all of Campbellsville and Louise (and Jay) Bricken of Louisville; two sons, Pat (and Nancy) Wethington of Lebanon and Lawrence (and Phyllis) Wethington of  Liberty; 21 grand children, 32  great-granchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two  children,  Macolm Ray and Anna Catherine Wethington; a sister, Annie Murrary and four brothers, Edgar P., Thadeus, Bernard and Cyril Wethington.

Funeral services will be January 29, at St. Bernard Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas Clark officiating.  Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jeff and Mark Bricken, Rodney and Roger Campbell, Rodney Godby,  Brandon Gumm, Chris and Greg Tapscott, Michael Waymon, Jeremy, P.J.  and Tommy Wethington.

Honorary pallbearers are Tosha Gumm, Karen Hill, Rhonda Hunt, Kimberly Jones, Cindy Nelson, Angie Shuffett, Mitci Simpson, Erica and Valerie Wethington.

Parrott-Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville is in chare of arrangements.
